 | We had lunch with my parents at their home in Kuils River.
We had pre-arranged to not spend more than R40 per person on Christmas presents (this was actually exceeded in one or two cases). Mikhailo got socks (R12.50 for three pairs — I bought six pairs) and gummy supermarket sweets from me. I bought my mother underwear at the same shop as the socks (R6.50 per panty — got myself some too). If you are in Cape Town and looking for bargain clothing, just ask me: Buitenkant Street is Cape Town's best-kept secret. (Well, I suppose it isn't anymore, now that I have advertised it on the Internet!) The headscarf I'm wearing is one of two which I bought for myself at R4.00 apiece at another shop in the same area. (I wrapped the other one so that Mikhailo could give it to me as a Christmas present.)

The picture above is just to prove that I actually have Cardassian DNA. Note the typical cartiligious striations on the neck. Oh, I guess you couldn't exactly miss that! |
