Sunset at home

Mikhailo has become pretty good at taking snapshots with this camera, don't you think? This is the dying pine tree in front of our house. We're worried that this tree will fall down sometime and crush the little fig tree that has grown up in the middle of the paving in the yard.

Every day has an entirely different sunset, just like in Prinses Nelda se 356 Rokke -- except that she had a new dress every day, not a new sunset.

The black stripes aren't a mistake, they are the power cables of the commuter train line which passes by in front of our home. Yesterday evening there was a terrible train accident further along this line, and more than 10 people died. Many were injured too, and rescue workers struggled for hours to free the driver (the accident wasn't his fault).

So the trains ran very strangely after that, with commuter trains (which usually run until around 7 in the evening on this line) passing by until after midnight, and goods trains (an infrequent occurrence on this line) rattling along until even later.
