 | For those of you who missed out a couple of years of recent history: My brother Anton Kruger moved to Australia with his girlfriend Liezel after traveling around the world for about a year. Actually, it wasn't all the way around the world, but more like around southern Asia. During their travels they became the first people to cross the Himalayas wearing ordinary tackies (they thought it would take too long to break in new hiking shoes).
Anton and Liezel met through both being employed by Idion (she in Pretoria and he in Cape Town).
Liezel recently came to visit her parents in South Africa. They then all came together to visit my parents in Kuils River; Liezel was to fly back to Sydney the next day. These photos were taken at my parents' home, and in the garden of the guest house where Liezel's parents were to spend the night.
For those who don't know us from a bar of soap: Liezel is the gorgeous Teutonic blonde with glasses; her father is the shaven man; her mother is the other pastel-clad blonde; my mother is the one with the Mary Quant hairstyle and the navy dress; my father is Father Christmas with a trimmed beard; and I am the one with the long hair.
