Marius joins the protest




Unity in diversity: My business partner Marius (pale male in green) takes time out of his busy day to hop into a "human chain" in Cape Town, protesting against the invasion of Iraq along with a sexy young white babe, an ordinary Black oke, a Muslim woman in full black you-can't-see-me conservative garb, and hundreds (thousands?) of others with differing reasons for believing that America's president is bad for the planet.

I'm not one for being part of a crowd in this kind of issue, but I support the sentiment. Most of my American friends are ashamed of their government (not that South Africans have a president to be proud of, mind you)! The only up-to-the-minute world news on TV is provided by American and British stations, so I'm giving up TV as my news source until their war is over. Overnight I have become a dedicated reader of Mail & Guardian.
