Contact by Aucamp relatives in New Zealand

In November I was contacted by a distant relative, David Aucamp, in New Zealand. (I am related to all Aucamps in the world, being descended from Jean Dederique Auchamps). He had found the Aucamp name on this site, and wondered whether I might be able to provide more information regarding the family. From the information which David sent, I noticed, inter alia, that we are also related via his mother's side of the family. (She was a relative — or a relative by marriage — to my maternal grandmother.) We have had a lot of correspondence since then, some of which I will post when I get round to it! I will also pass on all the info to my uncle Jannie, whose genealogical pursuits have been a lot more organised than my own.

In the meanwhile, here are some pictures of David's family. His father Louis lives in Australia.
