Carol sustained these injuries last year, and the bruises wouldn't go away; in fact they were getting worse and worse. Eventually her toes started going black. The first signs of gangrene, I believe. Carol painted her toenails green so that she wouldn't see the blackness. She was very scared: the doctor said he would have to amputate both legs within three weeks.
At that point, I decided that it was time for Genesen Acutouch therapy, which I knew could save her legs. So I contacted Linda to do the first session, and to show me what to do for subsequent sessions. Linda had to mark Carol's legs for me three times; she can find the spots exactly according to the book; a millimetre can make all the difference. Linda did several treatments and I did the in-between ones. Eventually Mikhailo gave me his pair of pens to keep and got a set of his own.
The initial results were quick: Carol's toes went back to normal. After sustained treatments, her ankles are swelling less frequently too; and she can now wear shoes again, and walk quite a lot. It is taking a long time to heal the enormous bruises on her shins though. Already I can see a big difference; the black is turning brown around the edges. But it has now been more than a week since I have been there, and there will be some catching up to do when I see her. |
